Dance and music performance by Clara Giambino and Arūnas Mozūraitis

HELIX

“Helix” performance is an introduction to ConTempo Festival and an invitation to the “Workland” space, which has been the temporary home for the ConTempo team for several years in a row. With just one day left until the official start of the festival, we invite you to the first performing arts experience and an informal meeting with the festival team. See you soon!

When I transformed my random and raw words into murmur, murmur into sound and sound into euphony, a semblance of order and sanity appeared where there had been only chaos and insanity. (David Sheff)

In the performance we explore the journey of self-discovery amidst chaos, using movement and music to find harmony within. As our bodies intertwine and spiral, the helix becomes a symbol of resilience, illustrating their innate capacity to transform chaos into beauty and find solace in the ever-changing rhythms of the universe.

Clara Giambino is a multidisciplinary artist from France. In 2014, she started her professional dance training in France, which led her to pursue her studies in the UK and in Israel. In 2017, she joined Aura Dance Theatre for 2 seasons. Since then, Clara has been based in Kaunas and works as a freelancer and choreographer across Europe. In addition, Clara launched her musical career in Lithuania. In her work, Clara uses the full potential of her body as an instrument to create, explore, and find singular ways to express her ideas.

A versatile dancer – Arūnas Mozūraitis – moved to London to study at Trinity Laban. After, he pursued his education in Sweden focusing on Street dance (mainly House Dance) at Åsa Folkhögskola, where he found the connection between House, Hip-hop and Contemporary dance. Since 2020, Arūnas has danced in few companies in Lithuania: AURA Dance Theatre and Nuepiko. In 2022 he was invited to join Norrdans Dance Company (Sweden). Arūnas is active in the Dance Battle Scene. He discovers the beauty of movement by combining different dance styles, music, and various interpretations of body languages.
