The workshop for professionals by Euripides Laskaridis

Ridicule and Transformation

Euripides Laskaridis, a renowned creator and performer, invites stage professionals to a two-day transformative workshop at Kaunas Artists House, where artists will be encouraged to rediscover themselves and release their creative potential in new ways.

The works of Euripides Laskaridis are notable for being at the intersection of dance, theatre and visual arts. Therefore during his workshop, Euripides Laskaridis facilitates performative tools coming from his artistic research on ridicule and transformation. In combination with his background in physical theatre and Ancient Greek drama, he utilizes anything that’s considered exterior, working in-depth, from the outside in. With his persistence on each of the 18 selected participants’ unique artistic texture, he will instigate the imagination of the performers towards unveiling their creative potential.

The open call is mainly addressed to those who have some experience, professional or amateur with dance and performance. Those interested in participating in the workshop are invited to send the following information electronically to the email osmosis.workshop@gmail.com:

  • a short bio;
  • 1-2 portrait photos;
  • a hyperlink to a video from their previous artistic work and/or their participation in another production, giving clarifications and indicating their role;
  • selected participants have to bring a full-body mirror that will be used during the workshop. Please confirm if you can bring a full-body mirror to the workshop.

Applications open till 21 July 2022. Applicants will be informed on 22 July 2022.
