Clara Giambino and Arūnas Mozūraitis

One

“One” is a dance piece that represents unity, connection and unconditional love between two people becoming one single human being, regardless of their genders, cultural background, beliefs, styles, race… but rather based on acceptance, energy, honesty and trust.

Arūnas is originally a street dancer (House / Hip Hop) and Clara is a contemporary dancer. Within their work, Clara and Arūnas aim to merge boundaries between street dance and contemporary dance, bringing both cultures into light by sharing the same space, researching, taking examples from both dance communities, and relating them to bodies in movement.

How to transition from two different entities, styles, cultural background and history to ONE space, common movement language, same capabilities, sharing the floor as equals? Can two different human beings connect on a deeper level when their energy matches?

This is a meditative journey and an analogy to nowadays dance scene that will transport you into the power of becoming ONE.

Clara Giambino is a multidisciplinary artist from France. In 2014, she started her professional dance training in France, which led her to pursue her studies in the UK and in Israel. In 2017, she joined Aura Dance Theatre for 2 seasons. Since then, Clara has been based in Kaunas and works as a freelancer and choreographer across Europe. In addition, Clara launched her musical career in Lithuania. In her work, Clara uses the full potential of her body as an instrument to create, explore, and find singular ways to express her ideas.

A versatile dancer – Arūnas Mozūraitis – moved to London to study at Trinity Laban. After, he pursued his education in Sweden focusing on Street dance (mainly House Dance) at Åsa Folkhögskola, where he found the connection between House, Hip-hop and Contemporary dance. Since 2020, Arūnas has danced in few companies in Lithuania: AURA Dance Theatre and Nuepiko. In 2022 he was invited to join Norrdans Dance Company (Sweden). Arūnas is active in the Dance Battle Scene. He discovers the beauty of movement by combining different dance styles, music, and various interpretations of body languages.
