Data protection policy of Public Institution ‘Kultūros platforma’

Public Institution ‘Kultūros platforma’, the organizer of International performing arts festival ‘ConTempo’ (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Festival’), respects the right to privacy of all spectators and customers, project participants, partners and sponsors, including the visitors of the Festival website http://www.contempofestival.lt (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Website’). We undertake to ensure the protection of your personal data and the enforcement of your rights as data subjects.

We handle your personal data according to the Republic of Lithuania Law on the Protection of Personal Data, 27/04/2016 Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the Council on the protection of individuals regarding the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) and its implementing legislation.

1. Cookies

2. Direct Marketing – Newsletter

For direct marketing, we process the following data for you: email address, IP address of your device. 

If you subscribe to our Newsletter (you can do it in our Website or when you fill out our questionnaires and/or register to events – there you have to provide your email address and agree with our privacy policy), you accept to receive latest and most relevant information about the Festival, ongoing projects, events, questionnaires, special offers and other news. For the purposes of administering such promotions, we may process and collect statistical information about whether you have opened a Newsletter, and information about the devices you have used.

The legal basis for sending these messages is our legitimate interest in advertising projects, events, special offers and services, and your consent.

You have the right to refuse receiving direct marketing communications or to opt out at any time. You can do it by pressing ‘Unsubscribe’ link in the Newsletter or by contacting us at info@contempofestival.lt.

We undertake not to transfer your data to the third parties, except to the IT company that is providing the service of newsletter sending. 

3. Registration to events

Registration to some free Festival events is obligatory, therefore you must register in advance and provide the following data: name, surname, telephone number and email address. This data is collected to promptly inform you about any changes regarding the event (date, time, location, cancellation) or for any other urgent matter (e.g., COVID-19 cases among the participants of the event).

How long do we keep your personal information? 

The data (your email address) that you have provided when confirming your consent to receive our Newsletter, will be stopped being processed for direct marketing purposes after withdrawing of consent (declining to consent). By refusing to receive a Newsletter, the data you submit will be permanently deleted from our database.

Your data (name, surname, telephone number, email address) that you have provided when registering to an event will be saved for 1 month after the event. If you confirmed your subscription to our Newsletter when filling the registration form, your data (only email address) will be processed until you withdraw of consent. 

The statistical information collected through Google Analytics tools and other cookies is used for up to 3 years. Cookies usually last for up to 3 years on your devices.

Links to the content of the third parties 

Our Newsletters, Website or our profiles on social networking sites (Facebook, Instagram, Vimeo) may contain links to the third-party (our partners and sponsors) websites or pages on social networks, to legal acts, as well as links to social networks (the ability to share content on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube).

We draw your attention that the third-party sites whose links are featured on our Newsletters and/or on the Website and/or our social networks are subject to their privacy policy. Therefore, Public Institution ‘Kultūros platforma’ does not take any responsibility for the content of the information provided by these sites, their activities and their data protection / privacy policies.
