What happens when a swing becomes a circus prop or a musical instrument? What metaphors for life are revealed through the objects in play? A musical circus solo inviting the audience to experience playgrounds as circus-friendly performative spaces. An experiment intertwining music and acrobatics, art and everyday life, childhood and maturity. A story about transformation and the eternal search for identity, about the desire to grow and the ability to preserve the most fragile qualities of childhood.

Markas Liberman is an interdisciplinary, contemporary circus artist whose creative path began at the intersection of art research and performance art. During his studies in arts and cognition, Liberman’s interest in contemporary circus led him to explore how the relationship between the body and the environment is revealed in this art form. Inspired by this research, Liberman began to create performances that explore the relationship between the object, the performer and the audience.

In 2023, Liberman was the winner of the Arts Printing House’s Open Space programme, and created a solo performance, PLAY(CES). In 2022, Liberman furthered his skills at the prestigious clown and theatre school, École Philippe Gaulier, in Paris.
