A solo performance which explores the search for identity in contemporary society and the impact of social media on the individual. Through movement, the performance examines the pressures of conformity, the constant pursuit of acceptance, and the desire to remain visible in a world driven by external validation.

Throughout the piece, Kasia confronts questions that resonate with many today: How should I look? Is Instagram really my calling card? These reflections reveal an inner struggle between self-expression and the gradual loss of individuality under the weight of social expectations.

Her distinctive movement language – at once trance-like, chaotic, and intensely physical – embodies the confusion of navigating a fast-paced reality and the relentless chase after unattainable ideals. At the same time, the performance adopts a caricatural perspective on both the self and the surrounding world. Drawing on the tradition of caricature as a tool of social critique, it exposes human vulnerabilities, contradictions, and absurdities through exaggeration and irony.

Ultimately, who cares becomes a metaphor for resisting imposed norms, challenging psychological and physical boundaries, and reclaiming agency over one’s life and identity. It is a powerful reflection on the tension between authenticity and social pressure in the digital age.

Agnieszka Brzezińska is a choreographer, performer, and dancer based in Poland. A graduate of the Dance and Body Studies programme in Poznań, she has trained with leading international artists and companies. She created the solo who cares, selected for the Polish Dance Platform 2026 pre-selections, and directs dance films presented at international festivals. She also leads workshops in improvisation and urban contemporary dance.

Katarzyna Leszek is a dancer, choreographer, and educator based in Poznań, Poland. She works as a freelance artist, creating performances, teaching workshops, and collaborating with dance companies across the country. She performs with h.art dance company and co-created the solo who cares, selected for the Polish Dance Platform 2026. She also teaches at Poznań University of Physical Education and co-runs Teatr Tańca Nieznany and Studio Nieznane.

brzezińska&leszek are a choreographic and performance duo working between contemporary dance, performance art, and physical theatre. Their practice combines choreography and improvisation, exploring human relationships, vulnerability, and identity through the live presence of the body. Both artists are active in Poland’s independent dance scene and collaborate on theatre, dance, and interdisciplinary projects. Their practice explores human relationships, psychological vulnerability, and the tension between private identity and socially assigned roles.
